I use a lamp, but it isn't very bright, when I go on the computer at night, and I was wondering if it's bad for my eyes? Thanks

They are two different types of light. The reason our vision gets worse as we age is because sunlight and artificial light thins the retina (the back part of your eyes) and its strength to see things clearly becomes weakened. This happens just as your skin thins as you get older. Sun light and natural light can damage both your skin and your eyes over time, but its just aging. You can't become nocturnal to avoid this, it happens to everyone. Nothing to worry about.

No, it's not bad.
But you may find that having your computer screen set to a less bright level than you use in the day-time would be more comfortable and less tiring.

Brightness and contrast on a screen can be overdone and cause glare. It isn't a simple case of more is better.

No, that's a myth.

You're more likely to trip over something in the dim light when you get up to go to the kitchen, bathroom, etc. And if you're carrying a pencil point-up, and land on it eye-first, well than THAT could be very bad for your eyesight!
