Transmission fluid (the red stuff) doesn't go in a manual transmission...only an automatic. Gear oil goes in a manual transmission.
The transmission has a fill plug and a drain plug. The drain plug's on the bottom, the fill plug is part-way up on the side. Remove the fill plug and add gear oil until it starts to come back out. Then it's full.
The transfer case also has a fill plug and drain plug so make sure you've got the right one. The transfer case is further back where the driveshafts connect.
Just curious...why are you putting in fluid? You really shouldn't have to, especially in a truck that new.

each person telling you it is going contained in the transmission diptstick tube is right, assuming you do not have a sealed transmission and additionally you have an computerized transmission. in case you will possibly desire to function kit oil (right into a handbook), there will be a fill plug which you will might desire to pump fluid into. If it is sealed, you do no longer upload. earlier you upload fluid in case you have an computerized, be certain you're checking your fluid point with the engine working and the transmission in impartial (or Park.)
