I'm a army wife and we're living in KY right now. I'm Originally from Alaska and I want to get my drivers license down here but I don't know if I will give up my residency if i do that. If my residency is gone I will no longer get my dividend which is money that the state gives you each year, usually over a thousand dollars. I'm unsure what to do...HELP?

if you are an army wife you dont have to change you dl. so dont get it. jobs that requier a dl will have to accept ti coz of the army...

Do you currently have a license? I think the first answerer is assuming you do. Check with the base on the proper way to do this. I am not sure you are covered, being a dependent, by the rules applied to active duty personnel.
