Your logic has some value.

Your premise does not. You are presuming the validity of your premise... then you continue as if that presumption is valid. I've seen people try that tactic when they have no facts to support their conclusion, so they try to get everybody thinking that the conclusion is axiomatic.

Were your premise sound, your conclusion/question might be reasonable.

I was military. I was also a professor and department chair in a college. I was even on the debate team in high school. I know a little about both the military and logic.

Nice try though.

You are building on a house of cards with your faulty logic. Our presence is not an atrocity and even if it were it would not change the actions of our men and women there today.

You need to deal with the reality of the situation and not get stuck in the past. Whether or not you agreed with going into Iraq, we are there now and we have a duty to finish the mission and establish a viable country. Anything else would be an atrocity.

Your logic is irrational. The presence of American forces in Iraq is no more an atrocity than American forces in Europe in WW2.

Your question and opinioniated answer contained therein bears very little relevance in the real world.

Many Americans believe that their presence in Iraq is beneficial to the Iraqis.
