1. chicken liver is not on catfishes normal menu
2. night crawlers will be picked off the hook by little bream
3. Stink bait is junk
My personal choice is live bait. Catch a palm size pan fish, stick a big hook through its back, and attach a big weight. Injured fish smell exactly like what catfish hunt. Live pan fish also thrash around wildly... something else catfish are on alert for while hunting.
I have tried everything, live sunfish work the best and last the longest.
10-20 feet of water fished on the bottom. Go out on or around the full moon. The peak time is when the moon is directly overhead
Its not uncommon for me to bring home hundreds of pounds a night. Largest yet was a 85 pound blue cat

actually no remember if this is that hidden i don't think of you will have something to be fearful approximately. quite while you're in the kind of small boat with the kind of small motor. in case you probably did get caught nonetheless, and could desire to not produce any workplace work proving that it belongs to you, you're able to be able to desire to get arrested and fined for stealing a ship. So I merely does not flow out till this is registered. i've got never been pulled over with a ship or stopped on a similar time as loading it into or out of the water and that i've got been fishing for extra or less 15 years, even with the shown fact that it may desire to ensue.

wrap chicken liver in pieces of nylon stockings so they can't pick it off
night crawlers (basic) but you'll have to deal with bluegills sunfish etc.
any kind of live fish for bait
or raw shrimp it curves to the hook and catfish love it (expensive though)
stink bait (junk)
water dogs hook through the head like you would a minnow

Go to grocery store and but about one lb. of fresh and raw chicken liver. Put a piece about the size of a nickle on a hook. Put a weight on your line, throw out onto bottom and wait. Take a sharp knife to cut the liver as it is very tender and hard to keep on hook. Nothing works better than chicken liver.

Use nightcrawlers and a large hook like a #2 or bigger. The bigger the hook the harder it is to swallow. And go after sun down.
