I work out about 4-5 days per week. I do a good mix of cardio and strength training. I'm looking for a sports drink that does NOT have high fructose corn syrup or corn syrup as one of the first three ingredients. I try to avoid that crap at all costs and I think it's a tad too ironic to drink that stuff whilst at the gym. I also heard that the popular sports drinks are bad for our teeth. What do you drink besides water?
Thank you!
ps- I've explored the following: Powerade, Gatorade and Propel......

No its not too ironic really, because you actually need to replace the sugars that were used for energy. Also the high sodium content of powerade etc, is good because you replace a lot of salt. The drinks are extremely well balanced for your body, and they are great during and after sports.

I personally drink only diet soda and uinsweet tea with Equal or Splenda. I hate it at first, but after about amonth of forcing myself to drink it I got used to it. I also love Porpel, Aquafina, VitaminWater, and Sobe Lifewater (I think that's what it is called). The only reason popular sportswater is bad for your teeth is because they all contain sugar, unless they are marked "Diet" or "Calorie-free" on the bottle. Just be sure to brush your teeth 2-3 times a day and you will have no negative effects on your teeth. And good job on staying away from high frcutose corn syrup. My advice would be to stick to Propel or another type of flavored water with electrolytes and/or vitamins. Good luck!
