Keep in mind he could also pick up some the machine guns if he won a battle. Either way i think it would be an interesting fight. Not as good as superman and batman but still a good one

I don't know how big the Haitian military is, but I'm sure the confederate army would outnumber them, probably double them. Even with machine guns, I think the Haitians would be outmatched by experienced troops. But it's really hard to argue the case.
