Changes any changes can make many people Nervous

But nevertheless the world is changing fast.
In the end we will have to go along with those changes whether we like it or not .

Some Scientists who get paid by politicians or Oil Companies ,have downplayed the facts because solutions are expensive and to admit to the reality ,means change .
,
Change effects many peoples incomes, and upsets profit margins,
We may be kept in the dark of the real things that are going on.for political , economic and even religious reasons

Global Warming disagrees with what was written
------------------------------...
just for fun i asked a question in polls and surveys and again in religion
who thought Global warming was a lie ,and who was religious .

granted many people who believed in God and also believed in climate change .

but
the fact emerged that ALL of the people who denied Global warming ,who said it was a hoax ,were without any exceptions ,religious.

Many People are used to fiction and they feel more comfortable with fairytales instead of the truth.

Many believe that our fate is in Gods hands ,and they prefer to focus on the beautifull heaven that awaits.

It would be Ironic ,if Hell came to Earth instead ,and we would NOT have to die to get there.

Simple it is scary. Human beings dislike change, we like predictability, particularly if that change has a negative impact on our lives. In the West we are now a more risk averse society then ever before throughout our history. We have eliminated many of the risks associated with living by advances in sanitation, public health, medicine, legislation, social care, housing etc etc.

Today people are more likely to survive child bearing, birth, childhood, illness, disability and old age. We can demonstrate how risk averse the majority of the public are by asking - 'Do you have any insurance whatsoever from Pet to Medical, to House insurance?' The more insurances the person has the more risk adverse they are.

So how does this relate to your question? People feel safer than ever before. Few people have real experience of danger because we have 'insured' and insulated our societies from it by the 'advances' detailed above. For example few people expect to have several children in case only one will survive.

To see a crisis as a crisis people have to first recognise the possible losses to themselves, their family, their home and lifestyle. The majority of people nowadays do not really interact with the environment so do not understand the real dangers.

In the floods in summer in a nearby city Hull, England, people died from taking inappropriate action. One died from climbing into a manhole where he got trapped by the rising flood and drowned despite the emergency services' efforts.

The other strand of this argument is greed. Human beings grasp to fulfil their wants and needs even when they are on their death beds, knowing they will die. There is a difference between having enough to survive or live modestly on and having everything you want no matter what the environmental costs.

People do not pay the real environmental costs of the products/services they buy. Imagine if you had to go and trap your own rabbit for tea. Would you overconsume, when you had to trap, skin, gut and butcher that rabbit before eating it? Doubtful, it would take up too much precious energy, the cost would outstrip the benefit once your immediate hunger was satisfied.

We have lost that risk too in the Western world. A starving man does not want the newest mobile or street wear, a starving man is only interested in eating for survival.

When people do not interact with the environment and believe we can isolate themselves from risk then you get a much higher level of denial than others. They feel comfortable and safe, why change that, why give up an overconsumptive lifestyle by admitting that there is a problem that may pose a risk to you?

Because the Global Climate changes are fake and all made up by politicians. Most people are probably just tired of hearing people whine about it. Global Climate changes probably happen in cycles and there is nothing you, I, any group or government can do about it. I am probably that guy with my head in the sand you are talking about. I don't lose sleep over Global Climate change.

Because greed is a very strong thing and some people can't see past it. They lack empathy, foresight, compassion and a certain kind of intelligence. But they're not stupid. There are also people who believe the end of the world is coming "end times" and there is nothing to do to stop it, in fact, their religious beliefs are threatened by the idea that the end of the world NOT destined to happen right now, so they have a deep need to see the end of the world, because they think it means a whole new world is coming. This is insanity of course, but don't try telling that to them! Just keep doing good things and hopefully we will get past this crisis.

If you're so dead-set on this, then do something about it. However don't expect all of us to believe the hype. Some of us have more sense. The earth goes through different climatic changes - this is a fact. Why do you think that the earth is so different now than it was thousands of years back?

Some people refuse to leave la la land. They are like ostriches with their heads in the sand and they call me chicken little who is afraid the sky will fall down.Ide rather be a little chicken who is concerned rather than a big fat greedy ostrich.Greed and selfish disregard has made a big mess.

They chose the imbecile Al Gore as their point man! I would rather watch paint dry than listen to that wind bag!! Besides there is no proof that global climate changes are anything, let alone urgent!!

We need superman to fly around the world at the speed of light counter clockwise to spin the earth back to a temperature where you feel comfortable. What temperature would that be?

The established wealthy are afraid it would mean they would lose money if they'd need to change. The religious right feel God gave them the dominion over the earth, so they can do as they please. The religious far far right figure the rapture is coming, and heaven will be so much nicer than earth, so why bother protecting earth.

You need to think out of the box and search for some info that is not being told to us. You might find somthing out. I used to belive man made global warming but i was conviced otherwise.
