I took in 2 somewhat feral cats living in my backyard woods. They are fairly good with me but no one else in my family yet. They must have been around some people at one time but never inside since they are afraid of the tv, washing machine, dishwasher etc...It has been a month and they still stay in my sun room. They have been to vet with clean health and received all shots and are fixed. How long will it take them to adjust and how do I get them around my other 2 cats?

Don't force the issue. If they are comfortable in the sun room let them stay there. Allow them to discover the other cats, or the other cats to discover them. It will take a long time for them to feel safe and they may even become territorial in the sun room. You just have to let them be who they are.

First off GOOD FOR YOU!!! for taking in these cats. The outdoors is a dangerous place for cats. I think the best thing to do would be to keep them in the one room until they get totally comfortable. All the sights and sounds and smells can be a bit overwhelming. Same with introducing them to the other cats - just give it time. And again - GOOD FOR YOU!!!

Ewww that could be tricky. If they are used to being free outside, they may still have the urge to go exploring. Getting them around your other cats just takes time; introduce them slowly.

Try feeding & watering the inside kitties in the sunroom w/ other two kitties. Sunroom kitties will eventually follow other two in the house when you begin feeding them inside again.

That is almost impossible unless you just don't let them out. But this is a hard process, your cat will wake you up and meow, and meow.
