mac update help?

my mac os x is on v.9. something. when i try to update it to a higher Version. it sais can not be installed why is this and how do i install it.

when i do download the new Version it brings up a box. it sais secupd2005-007ti1.1 then it sais must see if can download so i click on yes and it sais can not download on this computer

Your mac is probably too old to handle the newest operating system. It may not have the graphics, ram, etc. that it needs.
