Shea butter.... I know it's sounds crazy, but it's true!
I had this SAME problem for years. Someone told me a few weeks ago to put pure shea butter on my face. I rolled my eyes to it, but one night I tried it. I had bought some shea butter from an african shop for my feet and so I decided to try it. I put the shea butter on at night - at first it felt greasy. When I woke up in the morning my face was soft. I washed my face, as usual, put on my make up and after only two nights of doing this I didn't have any more problems with excess oil. I KNOW IT'S SOUNDS CRAZY, I'm telling you from experience this actually works. All you need is a dab, rub it in your hands and apply to your face. Shea butter doesn't clog pores. It has also helped me with my acne problem as well.
Hope that helps...

You have to make sure you are not using regular soaps and that you are using an oil/alcohol free moisturizer. The best I can tell you to use is the Papaya Enzyme Line from Bee-Luscious and the Hydrating Creme Concentrate.
The papaya enzymes will dissolve the oils and dirt from your face gently and naturally. The Hydrating Creme Concentrate will leave you skin soft and smooth.
Look up Bee-Luscious on Google or Yahoo to find the homepage.

if your face is oily, try using those little oil absorbing sheets from clean&clear. They really work - they change colour when they absorb oil and whew - I never thought my face was that oily. (tmi, i know.)
But yeah, I also use a shine control moisturizer and a talc powder or shine control powder (really reccomend it)...the powders can be found in the coverup section and they are applied with little face poufs.
Hope this helps.

Home remedies:
Aspirin will promote cell turnover & keep pores clear. Crush 4 - 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask. Or mix them with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask or aloe vera gel instead of water. Apply a thin layer to your clean face & let dry for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off w/ cool water.
Apply a thin layer of plain milk of magnesia, let it dry for 15-20 minutes, rinse off w/ cool water & a clean wash cloth. Plain milk of magnesia will absorb excess oil & temporarily tighten pores.

wash with gentle a gentle cleanser, and make sure to use a good moisturizer - your skin is producing extra oils because it feels it needs it, so over washing will actually cause more oil.
