I hope so, or there is a problem. Giant breeds can come into heat anywhere from 6-20 months. I have had ones on both ends of the spectrum!

Why do you want her to go into heat? You don't have a friggin clue about breeding. Breeding is much, much more than sticking 2 dogs togther. Is your dog up to standard? Did you do the genetic testing, etc. I know the answer is NO. Please do your dog a favor and the rest of the world a favor and get her spayed for crying out loud.
There are to many dogs and not enough homes because of backyard breeders. GET YOUR DOG SPAYED PLEASE!
The only reason to breed is for the betterment of the breed and I'm sure you don't have a clue.
To breed for money makes you a backyard breeder which most animal lovers would love to strangle.

There is no set schedule for any dog to follow as to when to have their first season. Are you sure her discharge is brownish? If so, I highly recommend you have your Vet take a look at her. It should be pinkish or red.... Often brownish coloration can indicate an infection or some other problem. Best to have her checked out and know she is ok rather than let an infection get a good hold on her.

i'm guessing she did not come from the pound already spayed? It sounds like she is in warmth and no she isn't too youthful to be in warmth. save her removed from ALL intact male canines!!! it incredibly is extremely, necessary!! Make an appointment to get her spayed in @ 3 months. a substantial breed commonly is on the market in to their first warmth any time from 12 - sixteen months, yet it is not unprecedented or completely uncommon for them to come again in as early as 6 months. Many a substantial woman has shocked their unsuspecting proprietor by skill of coming in youthful then predicted.

It varies a lot with trhe big dogs! (I've got a dane, too, she's coming up on 8 months) If, in a few days, you can put a tissue to her, and see real blood, she's in heat. If not within a week, call the vet.

Plz get her spayed!
Plz don't breed her!
The puppies usually have problems being born so that makes them a hard to breed dog.
If you want to see the miracle of birth, then you should ask a breeder if you can watch their next birthing.
Thanks a lot!

Get her spayed! There is a serious pet overpopulation problem. Go to a shelter if you don't believe it.
