He did a tad bit more than "just" leg kick Liddell, he used those kicks to set up that punch that put Liddell on his *** and almost KO'd him. Liddell has never defended leg kicks because no one threw them, Jardine had a good plan and stuck to it. It looked to me like Liddell just wanted to land that one looping right hand and never got the chance.

Jardine worked very very hard for that win, he was hurt during the fight as im sure you could tell by his face (reminded me of the jeremy horn fight).. you cannot take away from Keith Jardine he earned the win (although i didnt care for his comments on the stephen bonner fight ~going down a step to have to fight him~)
I believe you can relate this to the great Royce Gracie... yes his jujitsu is by far unsurpassed but.. thats not the only aspect of the game... same with Chuck... yes striking is an important part of the game... its not the whole game... it may have lasted for him but he needs to focus alot more on takedowns and not just takedown defense, i would think he would benifit greatly from joining up with randy couture for a while and learn those ground and pound abilities... look how well forrest griffons game has come .. so simply amazing... so similar to randy's

Liddell looked old and tired against Jackson, and that fight
exposed his weaknesses: lack of a defense against a hard
punch, and overall slow reactions. Jardine didn't really add anything to his appeal by this win.
Maybe a rematch with a win against Alexander could do it...
but in general the ufc and mma seem to be lacking at the moment.

Whiplash, i think the greater effective question would be "Why is the UFC feeding Keith Jardine to Chuck Lidell?" the respond is user-friendly. Chuck is the biggest poster boy in the UFC. The powers that be do not desire to work out him lose two times in a row...subsequently them feeding him an straightforward opponent. don't get me incorrect, Jardine is solid...yet he's not on the comparable point. i think of Chuck must be dealing with Houston Alexander too yet there is one problem (for the UFC administration) in that....Houston would beat down Chuck. i think of this is fairly vulnerable on the UFC's area too.

Not that big of a deal, chuck did not push the pace and all Jardine did to win was leg and body kicks
I think Forrest Griffen vs shogun was more of a upset

Yes. I said it when the fight was signed that I wouldn't be at all surprised if Keith won. Chuck needs to defend himself.
