i got rejected from three different rental houses i was looking at because they don't allow "german shepherds," boxers, pitbulls, or rotts. he is the SWEETEST dog AND he is full grown and only weighs 27lbs... he looks a little germ. shep. but i don;t think enough to be considered "german shep."
anyhow... blame the deed not the breed

if they ask, say he is half yellow lab and half Belgian Malinois. Pronounced mal-in-wa. There is no way in the world they could disagree with you, the Belgian Malinois looks almost exactly like a german shepherd only smaller. Your vet will have absolutely no problem varifying this for you. You have a great looking dog though.:)

Try saying part yellow lab...(it's a stretch). Also you may have better luck if you take him to obedience school (get a certificate/graduate) and then move on to "Good Citizenship" with him. As an owner of a Rottie, I know what you are up against. What is really sad though, is as soon as they find out we did Search and Rescue (she's too old now) they think she's cute and hang all over her...GGRRRR!(that's me growling, NOT my dog!!!)

I think he looks a bit lab, a bit sight hound dont think he has shep in him unless it was a way back before. Good heinz 57. Looks cuddly as well.

I would say that he's an All American Mutt,and he looks very sweet.There's nothing wrong with German shepherds, anyway;I have one and she's a wonderful dog.Good luck in finding a reasonable landlord!

He looks more lab than German Shepherd. That's rediculous. I hate those stupid laws. I sent him a dogster friend request.

Well he does look like a shepard MIX, but I wouldn't have rejected him if I were the landlords, how rediculous... he does look like a lab mix too, what's their problems these days?? God.
