The drug store is full of daytime and night time liquid and pill form cold relief medicines. You may have allergies rather than a cold. If you have fever take Tylenol and other than that drink water, eat chicken soup and get lots of rest. Most colds have to run their course. Use the OTC med if you need for cough or runny nose.

take zinc capsules. They really help. For runny nose to stop take afrin. Good for night time so you can sleep. Advil cold and sinus is great too, but it's strong, at least for me it is. You need to rest your body for a day, and let yourself sweat a lot so the virus comes out. Drink lots of water. For energy you can drink the Emergency powder mixed with water. it is 1000 mg of vitamin C plus energy. It tastes good. Its like having airborne capsule. Good luck!

If you're honestly miserable, you'd be willing to try anything right?
Look up Neti Pot, watch the demo and do it. I swear by it. Not only does it cleans the nasal passage and relieve pressure, it kills some of the virus that is causing your symptoms

cold is normally cause by virus and there is no medication for that. You will just need bed rest and plenty of fluid intake.
