You should be proud of yourself for 1) going to the gym after having a baby and 2) getting a good workout. It's easy to go to the gym and "act" like you are doing something. If you are not sweating and heavy breathing, that means you are not raising your heart rate enough and should try harder. Pat yourself on the back and feel good about what you are doing!

I think they seem to be having an easier time than you because most of the people at the gym are "regulars" and are used to the work involved in exercising. After a while, it will seem like a lot less work for you once you start exercising regularly, too.

the majority of the people that do exercise regularly do not train at a high enough level of intensity. at the conclusion of exercise you should not be able to hold a normal conversation due to having difficulty in catching the breath.
the greater the intensity and duration of training the greater the increase in the resting metabolic rate there will be. real fat loss occurs as the result of an elevated metabolic rate not during the actual training session.
keep doing what you are doing!

It is that you are working harder than everyone else and are new or that most of them work out alot and so they dont sweat... I never sweat in the gym except a little but I used to sweat alot... does this help?

well. it could be your muscle strengh.. your heart condition...
You just have to keep going and going.. and be constant.. do 5 times per week cardio, and 3 times per week weights (resting a day in between workouts)....
You should feel better after 2-3 months of being constant... your muscles and your heart (which is actually a muscle too) will be stronger...
Try also eating right.. it is very important to have enough energy when working out... try working out in the mornings rather than afternoon...
Do not skip breakfast... NEVER...
Sleep about 8 hours per night... and NEVER less than 6 hours per night...
Eat healthy and more often.. (about 5-6 small meals per day instead of 3 big meals) this will increase your power and your metabolism...
Hope that helps!

You're the only one doing any real work and getting your heart rate up! The rest are just a bunch of posers. When my friends and I go to the gym, we all come out with tomato faces and frizzy hairdo's. You're not alone!

They dont, everyone is knackered, its just that the lack of oxygen in your body is making them look like they aren't struggling like a fat bloke on a rodeo horse. They are all feeling exactly the same as you and probably thinking ' why is that woman not struggling?'.
