Hi, Eartha,

As the majority of answerers have demonstrated, putting any of us in a position of omnipotence would be a complete disaster. None of us has the omniscience and perfect wisdom to direct the universe.

Quite a few respondents would make life infinitely worse. One would punish God's friends and reward his enemies. Another would eliminate religions, presumably by ending religious freedom. Three would destroy the human race, and one would never create it.

Other answers are simply short sighted. If God cleaned up garbage and pollution, we wouldn't have to deal with our own mess. If God prevented sickness or injury, we wouldn't have to be careful of our health and safety, or develop our medical science. If God eliminated negative emotions, we'd be happy about injustice.

I'm sticking with Genesis: "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good."

Cheers,
Bruce

I would start out by creating a Hell and then sending all the really rotten people there without regard for their professed beliefs. After I got rid of the scum, I'd turn the Earth into Paradise and give all the nice people out there eternal life without having to die for it first...

If I was omnipotent, I guess I would make it impossible for anyone/anything to experiance negative emotions or be in a negative state. And also make it so that noone/nothing had to kill anything to survive happilly.

First of, ther is no "if you were god" god is god, not me and not you, nor those ignorant athiests!! Second, to that kid that said send christians and muslims to hell and retarded athiest to heaven, God does exist and on judegement day you will see. on that day when all mankind and jinn will be raised up from their graves and they will be judged, you will be terrified. When God says did not i send prophets and messengers to you and send down the books of which to follow (Torah,Bible,Quran) you will know!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't change the world if i were God because he already made it special and right for us, but I can change it if i could for myself. I would change the way people act and the way people treat one another.

I would see to it that I proved myself before sending people to hell. I would be very nice and let no one get sick or hurt, But I can't be more loving than the Christian God, can I?
