before they are recalled?
I just found out this morning that the Baby Einstein soft colored blocks were recalled, and I'm just wondering what's next.

Take the toys off the registry and buy ones only made in the US, not China. You would think that in a country that prides themselves on having so many smart people that they would be smart enough to use lead-free paint!

I'm actually not putting any toys on my registery due to this reason but in the notes section. I add that any gifts other are appericated as well. People will buy what they want anyway.

I know what you mean. It seems EVERYTHING is getting recalled. It's ridiculous. Might as well make our own toys for the kids.

I swear this Christmas I am going to wooden toys only non-painted.

Very true!! i am dissapointed that these items get all the way into our household before someone notices that they are cover in lead paint etc.

Well do you plan on having any toys in the house for your baby to play with?
This doesn't mean give them things that could hurt them, but not all things are dangerous.
