My heart has been broken by my first and only boyfriend. I waited 18 years for one, finally got one and had one for 7 months, and my heart is broken.

Time is the only remedy for heartbreak.

There's absolutely no way to sweeten heartbreak. While it can spawn creativity in poets and country western songwriters, the whole situations pretty much stinks on a whole. Any way you look at it, being the one that was 'dumped' is always worse than being the one doing the dumping. It doesn't even matter how much you liked the other person. Your ego is bound to get bruised and cracked.

Do some thing for others. Concentrate on some thing except your self. Often folks who're heartbroken are so all in favour of their emotions that they have got no room for some other ideas, on no account brain different folks. Try this: Volunteer at a neighborhood nursing residence. Offer to learn aloud to individuals whose eyes are too unhealthy to learn anymore or write letters for individuals who don't seem to be in a position to. Before you realize it they will let you know unusual, touching experiences approximately their lives that you just might have on no account heard in any other case. Volunteer at your neighborhood animal safe haven. Go for two hours two times every week. Take a leashed domestic dog outside to the entrance garden of the constructing and play with him. Just puppy and love on him. After half-hour, take him again in and convey one other out. You could make a truly change within the lives of 4 puppies every time! Give it a check out ... what might it harm? And it's going to heal your center. Trust me, I'm a nurse =D

A proper amount of time to grieve--about a month of so. Cry, reminisce, bore your friends with the details, look at pictures, etc. After 30 days, get up and get moving. You won't feel like it but force yourself anyway. Behaving as if you are happy can help you feel happy.

I'm trying to mend my broken heart too...Just pray for strength. Be patient. I know this sounds very cliche but it will get better in time.

The cure is a new guy. Go get your hair done, a manicure, a pedicure and a new shirt. Then go have fun this weekend with your friends. Don't look back, look forward.
