White rice isn't terrible. It only has lower nutritional value than that of brown rice since it's bleached. It won't harm you. Yes you can eat it with veggies and chicken. It's the same thing with white bread.

I wouldn't say its terrible, however brown rice is better. White rice is considered a process food, whereas brown rice is a whole food. Your combination of veggies and chicken with rice is a good choice. You can also try Wendy's chilli with brown rice. The beans in the chilli and brown rice forms a complete protein and it has lots of fibre.

as long as you stick to proper proportions (i.e the size of your fist) and don't eat it every single day its not that bad. you might want to switch to brown rice or wild rice because they are a lot better for you. bread is perfectly fine to eat as long as its from whole grains. the problem with white rice is that it spikes your blood glucose level and increases your body's potential for fat storage as well as leaves you feeling hungry again not soon after eating it.

The veggies and rice aren't bad. but I'd go with some good ol' garlic bread, but that's just me.

It is NOT BAD. Despite all the arguments by 'healthnuts', researchers have indicated that, provided your entire diet is not rice based, white rice is just fine. However, if you have diabetes, some people find that any rice dramatically raises your blood sugar.

Just remember. One serving is only half a cup.

White rice is fattening. I assume it's just like bread. Yes, you could either have bread or rice. But not together.

white rice, bread (unless it is 100% whole wheat), potatos, sugar - all the white stuff - is bad for you. If you eat a little now and then it's ok, but all the time is too much carbohydrates.

No its fine, it's just another carbohydrate, I personally like a good piece of bread because of the fiber and the taste. But either one will suite you well, don't listen to all the hype about carbs being bad your body needs them.

white rice is a simple carbohydrate, it is metabolized exactly the way bread, or any other simple carb, is. While I would not say it is terrible, I would limit your intake of it.
