You don't have to be absolutely perfect, but yeah, you need to look pretty darn good. A personal trainer's appearance needs to serve as testimony that what they're a client to do worked for them.

No, you don't. Most people realize that we all have different shapes. As long as you have your certifications and are willing to help others you can be a fitness trainer.

Years ago I had a great trainer at a fitness club. She was just the best but she did have a bit of a stomach. She admitted that she liked to eat the one particular brand of gourmet cookie. These were big suckers and she would have 2-3 after dinner every night. She knew that she would never have a perfect body by eating them and we all understood. As long as what she was teaching was quality stuff- who cared?

No one will care as long as you are knowledgeable and a good trainer, it won't matter.

No you don't have to be i perfect shape to be a personal trainer. You can be medium built and be more flexible than a skinny person.

No you don't but you want to be in pretty good shape. It convinces the potential clients that you pratice what you preach. You also want to be able to keep up with your clients and to demonstrate the activities.

you don't have to be in perfect shape but its a good idea if you are at least in pretty good shape. you want to practice what you preach to earn respect from your clients. you also want to inspire them to get into as good of shape as you are.
