Depends on your state- generally its years.. not days or months. However, your policy may state that you have to report your claim in so many days.

It depends on the law in your state.

If you are wanting to file a claim against your own policy- be aware, that you policy has language in it that says you have a duty to report accidents to your insurance company in a timely manner. Failure to meet the duties as outlined in your policy - can affect your coverage.

I'd suggest filing the claim now or at least talking to your agent about it.
