and about 1,135,729,000 are Catholics, why are other Christians so convinced that Catholics are wrong? They're the majority.

My point, before anyone asks for it is I hear many protestant Christians use the arguement that X billion people believe in Jesus so how can it be wrong? Well, over 1 billion of them are Catholic so how can they be wrong?

SDB....that logic is ridiculous. Catholics put the bible together to begin with.

Well, going by that logic, before the Church ever came along, look at how many were Pagan. ;-) So how can we be wrong? lol

But you do have a point, especially with so many claiming that # to support how right they are, yet the Protestants are quick to say that Catholics aren't "Christian". neither are Mormons or JW's which are included in that total. So the # dwindles down and the popularity drops as a whole. With so much arguing between the different sects, how can they claim to be United under Christ anyway? As I see it, the "Body of Christ" is arguing with itself... the left hand is slapping the right hand... the left foot is tripping the right foot... and the eyes are crossed to the point that they are stuck and can't see past their own nose.

At least with Paganism, as a whole, we can overlook our differences and work towards a certain goal to make life better for everyone, rather than just our own particular groups.

In my opinion, Christians and Catholics believe in the same God. So who is to say that either are wrong since they more or less worship the same thing? There are only a few differences and nothing that seems to be major in my opinion.

The majority of voters thought Dubya was a better choice for president too. Popularity reflects just that and nothing more.

Most of the 'Catholic's' being proclaimed Catholic, are not practicing "Catholic's", they are offspring of parents who are
Catholic. The Catholics will do anything to make themselves appear as though they are the largest group of "Christian", probably counting all those who were raised and confirmed throughout history. I left the Catholic 'faith' they probably are counting me as a "Catholic"

Catholics claim the authority to write and change scripture. If scripture can truly change then how do we know which scripture to believe?

There are some questions that can't be decided on a basis of popularity. When you say "right and wrong" don't you really mean "true or false."? If you do... your question is rather silly, isn't it?

There is no God, anyhow.... nothing in reality suggests that there is.
