When my father was a pup, he was really into the World War Two stories that were all to common back then. He read one story of a crew member in a Lancaster Bomber who was killed saving a fellow crew member from dieing. The plane was going down in flames, on his way out the door, he noticed the tail gunner was stuck in his turret. Instead of jumping out, he went to the tail of the aircraft and attempted to help his friend. He was killed in the attempt. Amazingly, the person in the turret survived the crash and made his way back to base where he told the story. The man who was killed trying to save his friend's life was awarded the Victoria Cross. That story really touched my father and when I was born, he gave me the name of the hero that touched his life.

Yes. They said that was the only name they could think of for me.. lol..
People might say 'what's in a name?' I grew up as grumpy person.. I was unhappy about myself, about my life.. Then, I asked a friend of mine who happened to have the talent to 'read' life, like a clairvoyant. He suggested new meanings, the different characters with new meanings but the same pronunciation so we don't have to change how to say it. Believe it or not.. since then I've become a lot happier and more positive about everything, which is great.

Thanks Moon :) Have a wonderful weekend..

my grandfather , great grandfather and father all had the same name
so it was important for the first born to have the same also
but hey they got a girl and not a boy lol

but they kept the initial the same anyway
so they had a choice of a few A names ... and they decided on Angela
it was around the time Angie Dickinson was on TV as Police Woman ... and mum liked the name
I have a photo on mums wall and strangely enough , many people comment on how I look like her in that photo

That's because the meaning of my dialect name means to go forward and never give up though. The name 'Larry' was given to me by my modelling mentor when I was a child model though.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

Well, my sister was named after the Morgan Horse.(We're twins,so it goes well with Megan too!) They were looking through the paper and saw them for sale and they liked the name.
My friend's mom was named after her grandmother and great-granmother. The great grandmother's name was Rose and her grandma's name was Mary. Rosemary.

For no reason, they named me Megan.

Yes, both my first and second name are after my parents. My first name is the female form of my Dad's name, and my second, my Mum's.

Yes, because of a song that went...

Jennifer, Juniper, all across the land...
She can smile for awhile, then get out of hand...

When I found out I was embarrassed. I named my daughters after strong, spiritual women that I know.
