Airbag deployment alone doesn't deem a car totalled.

Just because the airbags deployed does not mean the car is totaled. It is only considered totaled if the cost of fixing the car, is more than the car is worth. Air bags can deploy if it is hit at 12 MPH, not much damage there just fix the bumper and or fender and replace the airbags.

a car is totaled when the cost of the repair exceeds 1/3 the cost of the car soo if the car is cheap the air bags may cost too much to repack or replace
