my friend says his 2005 was and that they bought it in 2005 but my dad says our 2003 is that they already had it and then sold it in 2004 so what is right?? anyhelp at all would help and a timeline would be awesome!!! Thanks

from 1998 to 2007 when daihmler sold 80% to serberus. mercedes still owns 20% which entitles dodge chrysler and jeep and sprinter to have access to all parts and technology.

haha the answer above is nowhere near true..
Daimler merged with Chrysler in 1998, and were merged until mid-07 when Cerberus Capital Management bought 80% of Chrysler.
Chrysler is now diveded 80% Cerberus and 20% Daimler.
So both you freind and dad are right, those vehicles are made under the Daimler Chrysler naem

They merged in the late 80s I think, and are still together right now, but are looking to separate.
