During the Clinton Administration they did not want people in uniform at the White House. They felt embarrassed.
We have people harassing soldier's funerals and a disgraceful incident at Oakland Airport just this week.
Schools in California allow all kinds of insults to the flag but don't allow military recruiters on campus.
People take the military for granted until they are in danger. The U.S. military has a rightfully proud history of doing right under great personal danger and benign neglect.
The VA hospitals also need a little more respect.

Where on earth did anyone get the idea that the Clintons did not want anyone in the military near the White House? That must have come from the Karl Rove Propaganda Company.

Clinton was Commander in Chief of the military and respected it. I believe he sent them on Peace Keeping Missions that were highly successful. He did pare the military down, because it was far more effective, what with high tech weapons and highly trained specialists. They did a bang-up job of taking Iraq when Bush led them into that unnecessary conflict. Remember their bravery in the face of the supposed biological weapons that Saddam was supposed to have at his fingertips?

What a silly question, if one can call it a question. To disrespect an illegal war that was started with falsehoods has nothing to do with the men and women serving our country. I respect the military so much, I want to keep them alive, take them out of the Bush Oil Wars and use them for the purpose they were trained....to protect our country from real, not imagined, dangers.

I have a son who served in the military, several brothers and brothers-in-law, and I respect them for serving our country honorably, as most soldiers do. What has that got to do with the imperialistic ineptitude of George Bush, whom I do not respect.......in case that is your next question.
