Word documents? You can do anything you want pretty much, a resume, fliers, newsletters. The possibilities are nearly endless.

Open a DOC file. Click File --> Save As. In the "Save As Type" drop down, look what all the values are. That is the full list of file types that Word supports (i.e., can read or write). The list is big, and varies from what Word version to version.

And anybody who answers "DOC" or "RTF and DOC only" are not correct.

Do mean extension file names (.doc, .txt, .html), or like documents that you print out? Well, you can produce flyers, cards, labels, and other similar documents.
