Isn't that totally against what Christianity believes?

Sorry, I don't want the LDS site...I want to hear what they believe, not propaganda spouted to ensnare people and get them so far involved that when they learn the truth it is too late to get out...or it is VERY hard for them to get out.

LDS do believe this. They believe that if you live a good Mormon life that you can be married to your spouse after the resurrection. If you were good enough you can continue to produce spirit children to populate your own plant. Just like our heavenly father and mother did.

Here is a quote
Joseph Fielding Smith Jr., Doctrines of Salvation, Vol.1, p.69 - p.70:

THE STRAITNESS OF THE WAY. Mortality is the testing or proving ground for exaltation to find out who among the children of God are worthy to become Gods themselves, and the Lord has informed us that "few there be that find it."

Here are some verses from D&C

The Doctrine & Covenants states:

19 And again, verily I say unto you, if a man marry a wife by my word, which is my law, and by the new and everlasting covenant, ...Ye shall come forth in the first resurrection; ...and shall inherit thrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers, dominions, ...and they shall pass by the angels, and the gods, which are set there, to their exaltation and glory in all things, as hath been sealed upon their heads, which glory shall be a fulness and a continuation of the seeds forever and ever.

20 Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from everlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them.

21 Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye abide my law ye cannot attain to this glory.

22 For strait is the gate, and narrow the way that leadeth unto the exaltation and continuation of the lives, and few there be that find it, because ye receive me not in the world neither do ye know me. (Doctrine and Covenants 132:19-22)

I have also had LDS missionaries tell me that they do teach this and believe this doctine.

I do not understand those who would attack another's belief (especially when it is not true what they are saying). Why not tell use what you believe and show us the good you have? LDS actually believe they will live upon the earth with God which will be changed to a better world. This is in accordance with the scriptures.
Rev 21
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I am acquainted with a lot of LDS, and have never been told they will go to another planet. In simple terms, they believe that when they die, their spirit joins with members of their family who have already died. They believe in a sort of heaven. Members of the LDS are quite like most members of other religions. They are imperfect, and act in manners that are objectionable and against the tenants of their religion. While they are not pacifists, they do not believe that war is the answer to anything. Belief is belief, no matter its philosophy.

You dont want to hear what we believe, which is on the LDS website?????

So what you want to hear is anti mormon half truths and straight out lies from other sites that are telling mormons what it is they believe??????

What kind of a person claims to really want to know what a religion believes that wont read what it is they officially believe??
How is the LDS site propaganda if all it is is a site that tells what we believe and is a site to give a lot of resources for mormons to pull from, like links to the full set of scriptures and all the past general conference talks???????

Now telling what you believe in propaganda??????

Mormons believe that heaven is progression. Progression is learning all the mysteries and knowledge of God. It isnt dancing around in a half drugged state of euphoria. It is doing something. It is creating your own plan of salvation after you have learned all the knowledge of God and proven yourself worthy of such an honor. We believe we were born to a heavenly father and mother as spirits first. We believe that those that have been found worthy will have that same opportunity.

It is a spiritual circle of life, so to speak.

Is this what traditional christianity believes in, no. So what. By what authority does traditional christianity have anymoreso than mormons to interpret the Bible and create doctrine? Traditional christianity has made up all sort of things that arent in the Bible. The trinity, the original sin, good people going to hell. Should I discount them as christians if they believe these things. You dont have any greater authority or justification to interpret what a christian is than I do.
I believe Jesus is my savior and that thru the atonement I can live with my father in heaven again. That is what makes me a christian.

The Bible teaches that the righteous will spend eternity in Heaven with God. "My Father's house" in the next verse refers to Heaven.

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:2

This a different word from "heavens", referring to the stars, planets etc, which will be burned up. If the stars and planets will be burned up, then how will someone rule them??

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." 2 Peter 3:10

This is one of many false teachings of the LDS
