That's what most people responded when I told them a guy said that to me and I thought it was the nicest compliment a guy could give a girl. I met him at a friends party and he really didn't talk to me at the party but later let my friend know he liked me. We have just recently started talking.

I think it was a compliment. Most pretty girls are ugly on the inside. For you to be beautiful on the inside too means you are one in a million.
We guys sometime stumble over our own tongues trying to pay compliments. Trust that he meant well. It usually sounds much better in our heads than it does when it comes out of our mouths.

I would think of it as a bigger compliment if he told me that I was beautiful on the inside then if he had told me that I was beautiful on the outside!! I don't want someone that wants to be with me for what's on the surface!! I've known some very beautiful people on the surface but the way they were on the inside made them unbearably ugly!!

It means you've stumbled onto one of the few people that is capable of looking beyond the surface and superficial qualities. It would serve you to surround yourself with people who do this, because it's important to you. We're it not, you wouldn't have asked the question.

That's how I would take it...that I'm not that pretty on the outside but allll personality. But you take it how u want to. I don't know you or the guy and it's a hard call to make. You must be a very nice, cool person. :)

What it could refer to is your moral values. You could act one way, but on "the inside" you understand the way your acting is 1.)Temporary. And 2.) Will change with a bit more time

it dosent always mean your ugly, it also means that what matters the most is that your a true good person on the inside. to me thats very important also.
