Do Christians think that anyone who does not deny exsistance of a Higher power is an atheist despite their beliefs?

Let's face it. Statistically speaking, one out of three people in the world today --counting yourself among the three-- claims to be a Christian.

Of course, needless to say, it takes ALL KINDS of Christians... Witness the ones who do show up here.

And, NO, it is not the only religion.

Peace be with you.

Since there is only one God, to deny that one God, or to worship some other deity is essentially the same thing. Saying you believe in a higher power doesn't really say anything does it? It says you believe something is out there, but if you aren't willing to seek THE God of the universe, you essentially do not care anymore than the atheist who resigns herself to the proposition that she herself is the higher power. Christ came, revealed the God of the universe once for all, and expects that we should receive his graciousness and forgiveness and come into the fold of Christianity. If we do not, then we are as lost as anyone; atheist, pagan, and religiously other.

The christian religion is not the only path to God .The path can as well be found in all of the worlds religions and it is not only religious people who are spiritual for the path can be found in science , politics , the arts ,and so on throughout the many endeavours of human activities.I myself am an occultist and I have found my true path in life and I find it a very rewarding experience to help out all of my fellow human beings to come ever closer to the light divine.

I do not perceive that christianity is regarded as the only religion. I also believe that the dominant religion depends on the region one lives. I have no idea what position christians take when they address the issue of non-believers. Folks can have any decision they want to make.

1) it isnt.

if you say religious in a nation where christianity is not mainstream , christianity is not implied.

2) It is the opposite.
when someone denies the existance of a higher power he/she is an atheist.

if you do not deny then you are not .

"Christians" are probably the most vocal in my opinion. Despite the current trend of hatred towards Muslims, many of the Muslims I have met and befriended hardly utter a word about their beliefs. In that case, in terms of a frank discussion, "religion" often DOES equate Christianity. (in my experience)

You need a religion class to see that all religions are not the same.
Most religions are man trying to find God.
Jewish, Christianity is based on God revealing Himself to man.
The only religion. Not through an angel but Himself.
You can not vote on truth. It is or it isn't.

No, and it is not Christians who imply that "religious" means Christians.
NO ONE regards Christianity as "the only religion."
Are you serious?

On here I often have to remind people who aim questions at "Religious" people or "Theists" and mean Christians and other members of Abrahamic religions that there are POLYtheists on here as well and we are just as religious as everyone else.

The problem is that about half of these questions are from ATHEISTS who should really know better. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlMghbQ1Tejcc8_dwHCOdP7ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071004154922AA2PVGE&show=7#profile-info-b8e3dd68b7fdbbbac6132e0c73015651aa

No I believe anyone who isn't a Christian is a lost soul. I feel sorry that they are missing all the blessing and the gift of salvation. I pray for their safe place.
