Eating little will not solve your problem. In fact, it could exacerbate it. When you eat very little, your body responds to it by storing more fat due to survival processes. Also with little food, you will not be able to exercise when you have little energy.
I think most people have the misconception that losing weight is the only way to go whether it is fat or muscle. I suggest focusing on cardiovascular exercise at medium to high intensity for 5 days a week. Maybe throw in a weight training routine for continued fat burning when you aren't exercising. Lean muscle is important for fat burning, muscular strength, and increased bone density. If you do not exercise, you could develop osteoporosis.

Exercise and diet works for everyone! Even if you have the slowest metabolism in the world if you eat right and exercise you can lose weight.
Maybe you have not picked an exercise workout that you like so that you don't put your heart into it?
Have you tried very severe diets? Fad and crash diets don't work and all you will lose is muscle and not fat. Sure the scale will go down a bit but you'll still be all jiggly.
Try not to eat less than 1,200 - 1,500 calories a day of good healthful food. Not 1,000 calories of twinkies and 200 calories from the rest of your meals.
Have 6 small meals during the day and get about 30 minutes of exercise and you'll do fine.
If you drastically cut your calories it will backfire and you'll start to gain weight so easily you will get really pissed at yourself.
Avoid junk food, snacks and anything that contains a lot of sugar (this includes energy drinks), eat bread that is 100% whole grain, have plenty of fruits and veggies, drink skim milk and have lean meat and fish.
In addition to exercise get up and move around when ever you can to burn additional calories.

I have been a runner for years and play lacrosse and i hit a certain age and BOOM no matter what I could not lose the beer fat from college. the key moderation of food, rotation of routine in excercise and patients if you lose weight too fast you will gain it back. try this for one month and see if it works. cardio three days a week for 40 mins and weight training for two for 40 min. find someone to show you proper weight training and your cardio can be anything from jogging to walking to roller blading. try kraftfoods.com and select healthy meals and you can find really yummy foods and dishes under 500 calories. just allow time otherwise it will be a continuous merry go round trust me I lost weight and toned after a month of doing this.

If that's the attitude you're going to have then just give up and quit trying!
Nobody looses weight over night you know, it takes hard work & dedication to want to loose the weight. From the sound of it you don't have the ambition or the patience, you say all you want to loose is 10 pounds (the most) and that aint much compared what others have to go thru, but they get it done.
It sounds to me like you're just too lazy to want to work out, is this the case? because if it is then do it the ol'gangsta way and join the Jenny CRACK team!!!! you loose weight over night that way. I've seen people loose weight like that faster than I can say crack head........or you could start throwing up your meals or quit eating period!
not that I'm suggesting for you to do any of this just quit complaining and get to work. I'm determined to loose 30 pounds and I'm slowly getting there but I'm being patient and sticking to my rutine.

Hate to say it but it will backfire on you. If you starve yourself to loose weight, you will pack on fat twice as fast when you atart eating again since your body will be preparing itself for the next starvation period. If exercise and diets don't work for you, than maybe you just need to come to grips with the fact that you will never have the figure you desire.

I used to have the same problem and I thought not eating would help me with that, but it really didn't.
When you eat hardly anything, your body goes into "starvation mode" and it stores even more fat when you eat because it needs it to function right.
I started to lose weight by eating right and doing this routine 4 times a day.
-20 jumping jacks.
-15 push-ups.
-20 curl ups.
-Run in place for one minute.
-Dumbell curls (10 times each arm.)
Then repeat once.
Try doing this 4 times a day and that should start to help.

exercise and diet works for everyone. mostly likely you did not make the appropriate changes to your diet that were needed and did not have a properly designed diet or training routine.
