Hi there,
I was wondering if someone would be able to help me with this rather strange dream that I had last night.
Ok, first of all I think that I should say that I have been playing an Role Playing Game on the XBOX called “Fable” it is a game a played a few years ago but I have just got it back out and started playing again.
Well in my dream I was in the game, like I was the character (a hero) and I lived in the game (this is in my dream), so in the dream I was doing one of this missions where I had to escort traders through “Darkwood”
(I must say here that everything in the game was exactly the same in my dream, all of the names of the places and the way people looked and everything)
So I was escorting the traders and I got to the part where I was in “Darkwood Marshes” where there is a creature that is a bit like a werewolf, called a “Balverine” I saw the “Balverine” and my dream changed.
I was now in a town, but instead of having animated characters the people in the town looked like real people (though I still was animated and still the same as before) and I was trying to save the town from a “Balverine” invasion (this is not part of the game) I could see the faces of the people but don’t remember any of what they looked like, anyway I was trying to save the town and I was fighting all these “Balverines” and slowly killing them one by one until there was only one left and it was hiding the trees at the far end of town.
At this point some jets flew over head and dropped land mines all over the place and I remember saying to the people that they don’t have to worry now as there was no way that the Balverine could get to them because these land mines, that had sort of become mechanical spiders would protect them. I was just in the middle of explaining how the spiders that had came out of the land mines would protect the people of the town when my dream changed again and we were inside a house, and all of the people from the town where there (even though I could only see some of them I knew they were all in the house) and this little boy was playing with one of these mechanical spiders and was teasing it with a “Balverine” bone and for some reason I just knew that the last remaining “Balverine” was hiding under the house and was going to dig its way up to kill everyone.
So I drew my sword to protect them and I knew I could kill it easily, but then my dream changed again
I was now standing in total darkness with nothing around me and I was looking at this “Balverine” that was wearing the same armour as I was and holding the same sword, but it was laughing at me and when I asked it why it was laughing it swung its sword at my face and that was the point where I woke up
It is probably worth while saying as well that when I woke up and looked at the time I had only been asleep for two hours but in my dream I had lived a whole life time from been a child to an adult and becoming a “hero”
The very strange thing is though, I was not afraid in my dream I knew I could kill all the “Balverines” until the very end of my dream where I was facing that one that was dressed like me and had the same sword, that was the only time I felt scared.
I know this is long but I have tried to put as much information into here as I can
So if anyone might be able to help me make sense of it I would be grateful because I believe that our dreams are meant to teach us, but I don’t understand what this dream is meant to be telling me
Thanks
Jay

Well Im going to talk about the last "werewolf". It is obviously the darker side of you, and the only time you are scared because you fear becoming this darker person, the werewof is you. It is also important that you are animated where as everyone else is a real person, because you don't feel like one of them, you are seperate from the group. And then thing with the werewolf being under the house is that there is an underlying problem. I think this means you can either be a hero (a good citzen, helping people in the community without expecting a reward, and constantly fighting off your demons, maybe a bad habit) or you can be a bad person (submit to this bad habit, and become a disruptive, alienated person).

Hi Jason,
I added you to my contacts to be sure I’d be able to find you and your question next morning and see if you got the help. Your dream is really significant and it’s great that you give it your full attention. Only you can relate the meaning of your dream to what is going on in your ‘visible’ world.
You needn’t get confused by too many details of your dream, just focus on the main things:
your dream type and its major symbols. After Sylvia Browne dreams fall into 5 categories :
‘The Prophetic Dream, which she explains always plays out in colour and follows a logical order; the Release Dream; the Wish Dream; the Information and Problem-Solving Dream and Astral Visits’.
You can also visit the site to find out other kinds of dream research: http://www.dreammoods.com/
I’d agree with your answerer ‘G’, your antagonist (a werewolf) were you!
Actually all you see in your dreams are You! Our dreams are very wise and they always represent our inner Space!
You met your enemy tête-à-tête, yes, where else can an enemy dwell unless inside of us? At least you are now aware of it. As far as I can suggest, your enemy’s name is Fear.
And here comes the major symbol of your dream – your sword! It’s exciting! Can you remember to see that you were defeated? NO! You Are a hero! (I envy you!)
To prove that my subjective vision of the symbol is justified, here’s the interpretation from ‘Dream Moods’ site, which I’ve ‘tested’ to be true in my situations many times.
Sword
To dream that you are wielding a sword, represents your ambition, competitive nature decisiveness and will power. You seek to hold a position of prestige, authority, and distinction. Alternatively, the sword can be seen as a phallic symbol and thus represent masculine power.
Well, Jason, if your dream really looks like a prophetic one, maybe you’d better start preparing yourself for your mission instead of playing games? Maybe you are the chosen One?
Remember from ‘the Matrix’ Oracle saying: (approximate quote) ‘To be the One is like being in LOVE!’
God bless!
Best regards,
Lydia

I really like G's answer above.
but also remember, that only you can make yourself
more "real" in that you saw the townsfolk in life-like
and you were a "animation"... they may not know
your true self, you act like the one they need to know,
you assume they won't like the real you...or accept it...
"equal armor" can be a play on "equal amore"
and mean that you will find someone who
totally see you for who and what you are,
and that can make you more afraid than any werewolf...
in that...they are a good match for you and
won't let you get away with anything...
(can't bluff your way out...or easily trick them...)
Just another fun way of dreaming about meeting your
"match" hahahahahaha.

That is exactly why those games are popular--people get to live in a fun and exciting way. Of course you dreamed it. Of course you remembered it. That was the idea of the game and the efforts of believability and realism that the designers worked so hard to do. You are okay. You now know something of the power and potential of your imagination.

Sometimes no matter how hard you try to fix, prevent, or help others of harm, things will go wrong and you can not place that burden on yourself. If things go wrong, it is not your fault, and be careful, you might end up in the wrong place at the wrong time while trying to help others. Help yourself first.
