i'm curious to know what you think, even if you think you're wrong. i'm trying to find out what type of stereotypes there still are out there. i won't get mad at you for posting your genuine ideas : )

I was just reading the answers. you asked for non pagans, but go some who are pagans/Wicca who are answering (Count me Wicca) I am impressed that many who are serious have given good answers as to what we actually do and have given answers towards the stereotypes. WOW What wild imagination Thor! Some others gave some wild answers as well. I am looking forward to what else shows up here!

Sexy Thor... count me in!
This pagan hangs out in the French Quarter for Samhain and tosses sacrifices into the Mississippi River while drinking the best Bloody Marys in the world.

Worshiping the devil and ingesting sheep blood? Naw, purely kidding, I hadn't even theory with regards to the reality that pagans must be doing some thing on Halloween. i think of of it as purely little ones and costumes and candy.

"Artists and writers have long depicted strange and incredible rites that occur at a witch's sabbat. This comes from sitting too long in close rooms with the windows drawn, instead of getting outside in the healthy fresh air."

Different groups of pagans I know do different things. Though as far as stereotypes go, all I'll say is that people who get their information from the silver screen would be really disappointed if they went to one of these gatherings.

My ignorance may show.... :) I'm under the vague impression that Halloween and the days around it are a sacred time of some kind. I don't think its tied to Halloween directly, though.
ummm...so, how'd I do?
Interesting question

There are so many different kinds of Pagans its impossible to make any kind of intelligent assumption.
My dad is Pagan, and he always carved a jack-o-lantern, took me trick-or-treating, and pigged out on candy with me. Now, he and my mom watch my kids after my husband and I take them t-o-t'ing so we can dress up and go out to parties or haunted houses. I'm assuming the pigging out on candy still applies. :)

i see some pagans are answering as well, so here is my two cents, I think that some of you non pagans are getting it right while others wrong, keep plugging away until you discover the truth.
Wiccan.

See this is serious. I don't mind when people say what they "think" we do but I'd like to get a chance to tell them what we really DO. It really doesn't hurt to find out what people think. However these I just think it's wrong answers are not answering the question. That is about your last question and some of those answers.

Shamain-(spelling undoubtably wrong)
They talk about and honour their ancestors and dead friends.
I think.
O wait, theres so many types of Pagan.
In all honesty, I think some pagans would do something similar to what I describe.
Then again there are so many.
