Christians are secure. But then there is the Great Commission, "Go forth and bring the Gospel to all nations, Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
Those who have even a inkling of understanding of their Christian religion know they have something so good they have to share it with other people.
Ever gotten so excited about something you couldn't wait to tell someone about it, whatever "it" is? Of course you have. Wanting to share the experience had NOTHING to do with insecurity. It had to do with plain ol' excitement.
It's the same way with Christians. They are excited about their Faith and their Church, and want to share it with others. They share because of their confidence in the Church, not their insecurity.
You can interpret there actions any way you want, but you are wrong. What you call controlling freedom, I call common sense - Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Don't you want to do the right thing? Faith can help you discern the right thing. Sometimes the right thing may not be our preference, but we must do the right thing anyway - choosing to do the right thing, in spite of the temptation to do the wrong - that is freedom, not control.

I do not push my religion on anybody.
You are missing the point of Yahoo! Answers.
People come to this venue with questions, looking for answers.
In answering these questions, I explain what and why Catholics believe. I try to do this without "bad mouthing" other points of view.
If people do not want to hear answers, they should not be asking questions.
With love in Christ.

For better or for worse, most Catholics are far less evangelical than other groups. I am willing to bet that the perfect strangers who come up to you on the train platform to invite you to their church or the crazy guys lugging eight-foot-high crosses around town or anyone with a sandwich board saying "Repent the end is near" are not Catholic.
There are, of course, Catholic missionaries who go to less developed countries to preach but it sounds like you are talking about something else.

It’s cruel to just stand and watch while a mack truck is about to smash a person. Christians are more secure than you could ever imagine. We just care a lot about you, also more than you can imagine. This is in all sincerity.

I'm not Catholic but Christians are to share the good news and the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the scriptures. It has nothing to do with insecurity. No sane "insecure" person would set themselves up for the ostrasizing that comes with being a Christian deliberately. the power of Christ compells us.

Our Lord wants you to be with Him in heaven. That's why He created you. If you refuse Him, that's your business. But I must be held accountable for informing you of the fire that you are playing with. And the fire gets hotter with each soul that you lead away from Him.

Men and women of Christ are called to preach and spread the word of God.
God is the one who wants us to be submitted under His authority.

1 Corinthians 9:16: "....I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel".
When a Catholic receives the Sacrament of Confirmation, we are strengthened, and "strictly obliged", to spread the faith:
CCC 1285 - "...It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed."
