If God existed, then God would be stronger than Chuck Norris.
Nothing can be stronger than Chuck Norris.
Therefore, by reductio ad absurdum, God does not exist.

Philo: It is not a modus ponens. The form of the argument is
p>q
~q
~p
Rather, it is a modus tollens, which is logicall equivalent to a reductio. A reductio is not when you take somebody else's argument "to it's logical conclusion." That's simply a shorthand way of putting it.
A reduction argument is where you assume p, derive a contradiction, and conclude not p. Here's a slightly formalized version of my argument that shows it to do just this.
If God exists then God is stronger than Chuck Norris. (Premise)
Nobody is stronger than Chuck Norris.
(Premise)
Assume God exists. (Assumption for reductio)
Then there is a being stronger than Chuck Norris: God. (Derived through modus ponens)
But this contradicts our premise that there is no being stronger than Chuck Norris.
Therefore, we must reject the assumption and it cannot be the case that God exists.

The only problem is the "reductio ad absurdum" part. It is not by reductio ad absurdum that God doesn't exist. It's by modus tollens that God doesn't exist. A modus tollens argument follows this form:
If p then q
p
therefore q
A reductio ad absurdum is where you argue something like this:
If p then q
p
therefore q
but q is absurd
therefore, either "p" is false or "if p then q" is false.
In other words, a reductio ad absurdum is where you take somebody else's point of view to its logical conclusion. If the logical conclusion is absurd, then at least one of the premises that lead to it is false.

Ah, Mario, you have fallen victim to the great fallacy:
"If x cannot be proven, then that proves not x"
Science most certainly does NOT allow that!!
You must prove "not x" definitively as fact by itself!
If you CAN'T prove "not x" (and I really don't think even the smartest Atheists around here can 100% PROVE that God does NOT exist), then you are better off being Agnostic, and admitting that
"Because there is no evidence either way, I refuse to choose"
The only stance truely based on evidence (or rather lack thereof) is Agnosticism. Atheists rely on their faith/opinion that there is NO GOD just as much as Believers rely on their faith/opinion that there IS A GOD.
Peace.
ETA: I SWEAR there was a response from a "Mario" just a minute ago that I was referencing, though I can't see it now...
Just pretend there's a comment from "Mario" up above that said "The lack of evidence proving God exists is proof that God doesn't exist"...b/c that's what I was addressing :)

If nothing is stronger than Chuck Norris, then Chuck Norris must be God. Therefore, "Good Guys Wear Black" should be changed to "God Guys Wear Black." Immediately, if not sooner.

The Bible has much proof that its deity does not exist. Your logic is flawed. I am much stronger than Chuck Norris. He was a middleweight, while I weigh 360 pounds. I am much stronger than a fantasy god too. If the Bible is the word of God, and it indicates that pi is 3.00 in two places, I knew more than God when I was in elementary school. From Genesis to Revelation, the sky is said to be a firmament, i.e. a solid dome a few miles above us that will roll up like a scroll and shake loose stars that are small lights attached to it. Hipparchus knew the moon is about 240,000 miles from earth. He said the Sun is 5,000,000 miles away, but it is relly 93,000,000 miles away. Still, he knew much more than the authors of the bible from beginning to end.

Chuck Norris can roundhouse kick us all.... but God can roundhouse kick us all and roundhouse kick Chuck Norris too. God exist and he is the higher power... I do not argue that. After God, Chuck Norris is the higher power and even Chuck Norris himself believes in God and if you commit blasphemy believe me that you will wake up the most dangerous anger in Chuck Norris.
