and intervened on their behalf many times in the bible, why did he not intervene during the holocaust? If there was ever a time in history when his "chosen people" needed him it was then while most of the race was being exterminated. He brought them out of slavery but then let millions die? Must be god working in mysterious ways again.

Not so mysterious the way I see it...

Yes, God did deliver his chosen people from slavery and from many enemies in the bible...his covenant with them was clear and specific...if they obeyed his laws, he would bless them...if they disobeyed, he would remove his protection from them. God also allowed their enemies to have victory over them when they strayed from his instructions...enforcement is necessary for any system of laws to work. In other cases, he allowed them to suffer at the hands of their enemies until the time was right to give them something he wanted them to have. For example, God told Abram that his descendants would be slaves for four hundred years but that when "the sin of the Amorites" had reached its "full measure", God would deliver his people and give them the land of the Amorites and the possessions of those that enslaved them.

Yes, the holocaust was a horrible thing and millions of God's people were exterminated...but who says that he didn't intervene. The race was not exterminated and, for the first time in about 1,900 years, the Jewish people were able to establish a state in the promised land...Israel didn't exist until the aftermath of World War II. Without Hitler, would the state of Israel even exist now?

I don't pretend to understand the details of God's plan, but it does seem pretty clear that, whatever else happened, God used WWII to keep his promise to return the promised land to his chosen people!

As a Jewish person, I would like to say in response to some of the people who answered, that no, it was NOT "Satan" who tried to kill us, yet we still live.

It was God. Everything comes from God. There is no other entity who creates good OR evil, except God. Isaiah 45:5-7. "Ra" means evil, not "calamity", or "disaster" as the Christian bibles have translated it. "Ra" means evil. Period.

This was a decree from God, the Holocaust was. The efforts to annul this decree, by methods given by God in the Torah, of many of our holiest, most pious, purest Rabbis and other Jews, were met with silence by God. This decree was to be met and we had to go through it, and we did.

We do not know the reason. We have several probable speculations, but the solid reason God decreed the Holocaust upon us, we do not know.

We WILL know what that reason was, one day, when God is one and his name is one (Zechariah), when Moshiach comes, but until then, we don't know.

We do not lose faith or love in God, even so. That is why we are Jews. Yes, Am Yisrael Chai!

confident god is genuine how can u doubt it? while there is plenty good yet as a exchange ppl purely the see the undesirable which became brought about via our possibilities interior the 1st place then we blame god for it and deny his lifestyles.that is purely being extremely ungrateful as for me i dont have faith cuz i'm scared or to be secure i've got faith cuz i've got faith cuz theyr isn't something greater advantageous or greater friendly than actual understanding he's with me. a real believer doesnt want information i see god on a daily basis and in each good ingredient. Please dont lose faith in god what ever ur faith could be he wont stress u. Ur given a call uncomplicated as top and left and the consequence of ur lifestyles often is the mirrored image of ways u lived it.

It is not popular to say this among Jews, but the Old Testament prophets seem to have prophesied that the Holocaust would happen, and that after it, Israel would gather again from the four corners.
The Bible is full of stories about the Jews going in and out of favor with God....their exile in Babylon, the destruction of the temples, being overun by invaders, the diaspora, etc.

God did intervene on their behalf during the Holocaust, via the Allied armies.

If I recall God led his chosen people into peril in the bible also. They had to wander the wilderness for years before they found the land flowing with milk and honey. God did this because of the sin committed when moses went up the mountain to retrieve the commandments. Sin is punishable. End of story.

If you really know the bible and your history god didn't intervened because the Jews is not god chosen people. The Hebrew Israelite's are and they was a black race of people. The word Jew was never in the Hebrew language and that the letter j never was in the Hebrew alphabet. If these Jews was true why there so much distrust of god chosen people?

Are you saying this is all GOD's fault? Because if you're not, it sure does sound like you are.

If we do not obey GOD, turn your back on GOD and don't want anything to do with GOD, then GOD's protection/presence will leave you, and then satan will step in and do his evil work on you. He'll do everything he can to destroy you and destroy everything your life. satan will steal everything you own, your mind, etc., and then when you had enough of being messed with tortured, harassed by demonic forces who satan sends out on assignments, then he'll kill you-that is, when you've had enough of being tampered with, tortured, and messed with

satan is the father of all lies and confusion and you're being used as satan's puppet right now to bring up confusion, doub and lies with the way you worded your information.

Remember, satan's only purpose in romaing about the earth is, to kill, steal and destroy. But,

JESUS says:
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10
