Right after/above the third molar on the bottom jaw, my gum, or whatever you call it, has a bump and it's kind of chewy-like. Everytime I bite down, I can't even close my jaw because this bump is in the way and I can chew on it. It kind of hurts and when I swallow, I feel a slight pain on the left side of my throat.

If you have not had your wisdom teeth removed then it is the gum around the wisdom tooth that is infected. Often when the wisdom teeth start to want to move up, but there is no room the gum becomes slightly swollen and pops up then there might be a little opening where food can get trapped and this then causes it to swell up some more and because you can't remove the food under that gum it becomes infected. Best thing to go to the dentist, they can tell you about your wisdom teeth and clean that pocket out for you as it can become very painful. Good Luck

Have you had your wisdom teeth removed, yet. Sort of sounds like your teeth are trying to push through. OR you might have a canker sore (sp?). Rinse with warm salt water every couple of hours and it should help a little. Good Luck!

It could most likely be rabies.I have atleast 3 dog books and they all say that if a dog has foam on or coming out of its mouth it could possible have rabies....(it has a joke beside it saying-or it could just be whip cream)

HELLO BEN,
THIS AN EASY THING FOR THE DENTIST TO FIX.
FIRST HE / SHE GIVES YOU A SOT OF ANESTHETIC TO AREA AND WITH AN INSTRUMENT CALLED AN ELECTROSURGE SIMPLY REMOVES THE EXCESS GUM THAT BOTHERS YOU.
THE WHOLE THING SHOULD TAKE 10 MINUTES OR LESS.
