Php 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Php 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

There is good reason to have our conversation in heaven, not only because Christ is now there, but because we hope to be there shortly: Who shall change our vile bodies, that they may be fashioned like unto his glorious body.We as Christians should always understand that there is so much more ahead of us.To be content with what we have now should never suffice us.We are continually looking for Him to appear and want to be careful that when He does come we are not found to be doing something that we ought not to be doing. There are times that I have given in to the flesh and it terrifies me to think that He could have come at that very moment.I pray that God will change this vile body of mine and fashion it according to that of His Son's glorious Body.

This verse is telling us that when Christ returns in judgement, that we will receive at that time our brand new resurrected bodies to go along with our sanctified soul existance; it harmonizes with what we read in 1 John:

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." - 1 John 3:2.

It means that as a Christian we are conformed to His image (changed to be like Christ) and the things that we do that are vile (sin) will be changed to things that we do that are like Christ. If you read above (verses 19&20) he talks about those who mind earthly things. He is talking here about minding the things of God - thinking on those things that are lovely, pure, holy, just, of good accord, etc.

Verse 9 says that we have righteousness by faith. We have it, but we must continue to dwell on things that are Godly and let God change our ways.

I think it is part of an overall text that makes it less than worthless.
