We have just purchased an 11 year old house and will be doing the following upgrades: install hardwood floors, complete repaint of the house, new capet, 5 major new apliances, new deck, removing walls and upgrade of stairs, new windows and have heard and have had dealings with Direct Buy. If you have dealt with Direct Buy how was your experience and would you recommend Direct Buy. We will not be doing the upgrade work ourselves it will be done by contractors.

I haven't dealt with them, but I did a little research about them when i was looking to redo my house...including the purchase of all new appliances.

I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. When it comes time to buy your appliances do what I did. I got online (ajmadison.com), picked out what I wanted. Printed out my shopping cart and went to Lowes.

Even though Lowes doesn't officially match the online prices...they did. I ended up paying the same at Lowes as I would have online AND I had my refrigerator delivered the next day - the rest were special order so they took longer.

If you have had dealings with Direct Buy, then you are a member. Use it. I have heard nothing good about their prices and especially their service and taking care of problems. They are a "middleman" claiming to be a factory rep.
