I think mine is Bad Boy Bubby, all though there is a lot more at play in that film other than religion...

Repossessed was a 1990 comedy film that spoofed The Exorcist.

The film featured the original star of The Exorcist, Linda Blair (at age 31 -- she was 12 in The Exorcist) as well as Leslie Nielsen and Anthony Starke. Many gags were based around events in The Exorcist, such as the green-vomit and head-spinning scenes.

It was written and directed by Bob Logan.

It had a particularly rapid pace of pop culture references, especially as the movie neared the end, and it still holds a large cult following. WWF commentators "Mean Gene" Okerlund and Jesse "The Body" Ventura played a semi-major role in the movie's climax.

The Mission is a beautifully-shot, wonderfully-acted film with an amazing soundtrack and a storyline that moves me every time. Most of my friends, even the non-religious ones, absolutely love it.

Tie between The Ten Commandments and The Last Temptation of Christ. One of these days I have to get around to watching A Man for All Seasons. Dogma was hilarious.

Interesting question...I'm not sure what you mean by religiously themed so I'm not sure if my two favorites would qualify. My favorite Christmas movies are Die Hard and Lethal Weapon...how many other people would call these Christmas movies?? LOL

My favorite religiously-themed movies...

Ben Hur...yes, Heston tends to over-act, but it is an epic movie with awesome settings (esp. for 1959) and a fascinating story line.

Rudy...one of the best stories of faith I've ever heard.
