To my LDS contacts, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, and if you would be so kind as to put them on your local temple's prayer role. Thank you!
To my non-believing friends... I know you do not pray, but if you could keep her in your hearts and your thoughts, it would mean a great deal to me and my family as well!
To everyone else, any words of comfort for my family or words of support for my sister would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance! *hugs*

She is going to join the war in Iraq.
And to the people who are against the President, PLEASE do not post your hate for him here.
My sister supports the President and chose to join the Army, and I am so very proud of her.
Please go and spew your hatred elsewhere. Whether you support the President or not, be considerate enough to show my sister and our family a little more respect.
And to the poster who is trying to ridicule my family and our beliefs... she is going out there to fight for YOU and your rights to have the freedom that you do. Remember that!

A very tough situation I know. I was very close with my sister when I was in the service also. You just have to be up front with her. Let her know that you love her and will miss her very much and you will be back for her as soon as possible. Let her know that you will do what you can while you are away. Thank you for your service. God Bless you both.

Have faith that she will be preserved to fulfill the full measure of her mortal probation. I understand your anguish. My father served 2 tours in Vietnam -- and time and again his life was protected so that he could fulfill his mortal probation [including being baptized in the south asian sea by a couple of stake missionaries]. There are many blessings coming back into the region of Babylon because of the priesthood presense and she will be a witness to many of these. The Lord is mindful of her and you. Be comforted and be of good cheer. All will be well.

I'm one of those that don't praym but I wish you and your family all the best in this difficult time, I can't imagine how worried and anxious you are for her.
I also hope this pointless war ends quickly (too many lives have already been ruined and lost)... and hope that your sister comes home safely and soon.

I'm sorry. It comforted me to know that driving on a highway here is statistically more dangerous than spending a year (15 months) in Iraq. She will come back. Just send lots of letters, movies and care packs.

I believe that the soldiers who defend this country are the bravest of all. They put their life down for the sake of their country and ideal. My thoughts always go out for them to keep them safe and not to fall down. I do not believe in war nor in any violence in order to solve anything but it is NOT the fault of the soldiers. They believe in what they are doing. I do believe that we can achieve peace through non-violence. If you believe it, you will achieve it.
Keep your sister in your heart and never let go. Your thoughts alone should keep her from harm.
Thanks for sharing this with us.
