yes!
Your only hope is if your parents were taller.

The best way to determine a child's height is to go back to your Grandparents. They are the best source of information as to the height of your children. If they were short people, then the chance your children will be short is a good one. Generally your children will most likely be taller than you or your husband.

Odds are that your offspring will be of short stature also. But who really knows. It seems that there must be something in the feed nowadays as there are a lot of children that are much bigger than 50 years ago when our food was not genetically modified like today. Regardless of their size though you will love them the same and they will grow up to be big hearted if raised with love.

More than likely, but not a certainty. If there is any height on your parents, that could help.
My mom is 5' 6", my dad is 5' 11" and I'm 6' 4". ......my mother's father was 6' 4" also.

We have insufficient data to know for sure....gene transferral is not the linear event of taking mom and dad into consideration and being done with it. Within that framework there are many other possible variables based on the family history of both of you. (By way of example: I am 5'6" the same height as my father, but my grandfather (dad's dad) was a good deal taller, and my younger brother is likewise taller than his father and me.) Too many possible variables and combinations to know for sure.

I am laughing at some of the answers. I am 5ft and my children's father is 5'8". We have 3 daughters, one is 5'6", one is 5'8", and the youngest is 5'10." Even though we are a little on the short side, we had and have taller relatives so the girls ended up being as tall and taller than we are.

Yes, but if you have tall relatives on either side, there's a chance at least one child will be "normal" height or tall.
My dad was 5'6" and my mom is 5'2"....my sister is 5'4" and I'm 4'9"...our brother was 5'10" ....mom's dad was over 6' tall (see what I mean?)
As I said, I'm just 4'9", but my ex is 6'...our sons are 6'2" and 5'10" ....(all my ex's relatives on both sides of his family are normal height/tall people).
Hope this helps!

Likely so BUT... There are instances where kids take after Grandparents etc. I know of a couple who are both short and they have a six foot son. It can happen.

Not a complete data wherein we can make a conclusion. Although there would be a possibility. But factors as genetics, ancestry, food, activity (sports), lifestyle, vitamins, and other external factors can affect ones growth.

They probably will be short, unless you have some tall grandparents or parents yourself. Most likely though they will be short.
