Last night I was watching television and saw that in 5 states so far there has been police raids on Illegal immigrants and there are more to come. An official stated that if the law makers can not create a law to get them out then we will just enforce the laws we already have because this is what our citizens want! HooRa!
Anyway I had not seen any raids in Texas so I was wondering has your state seen any of these raids and what do you think.

PS. the people against these raids were saying that it is not fair because these people are not criminals that they are just here to make a living, but then I thought to myself if they are here ILLEGALLY then that would make them a criminal, Next excuse please.

I haven't seen any in my state yet...however, we've passed some legislation that has been unfriendly to illegals and have seen what appears to be a reduction of about 30-40% in illegal presence. Businesses that cater primarily to the illegal community are getting hit hard and several have already closed.

I know of 2 in my city. One was at the factory I work at. 68 deported and legal people hired with no loss of production. Another in my city got 11 that were using stolen identities. I am in Illinoios. Both raids were conducted on temp services that dont check ID and legal status. Both have been warned they will be checked again and will be fined and/or shut down if another violation occurs. We need more of this enforcement to happen.

Raids are great, the ICE AGE is coming!
Maybe this can compensate global warming...
Seriously, I think it's much needed to remove
these illegal, repeat criminals first in line
ICE just raided and arrested 1300 illegals
here in california yesterday. Imagine how
much crime and homicides this saves for the
coming years, CA becomes safer and better

I think the raids are great! It is wonderful to finally see the government bow to the will of the people.

While I do feel sorry for these people, leaving Mexico has created the desperate their. Instead of the people fighting to better their country they flee to the U.S. further crippling their economy.

In addition, they knew the risk when they crossed the border and as will all civil societies they must be prepared to face the consequnces of their actions.

Here in southern California, we are soooo taken over by illegals that I'm not sure the FEW they took will make a difference, but every little bit helps! I will feel better when I see the number of deported Mexicans going up. For now I'll cross my fingers and give kudos to finally heading in the right direction.

You have to understand that most of these raids on t.v. are just for show. They are mostly by white, publicity-hungry ICE officials who love coming out on t.v. rounding up poor people. You never see them rounding up asians or illegal Canadians cause that would be a big lawsuit there. But it's just for show. There's still millions of illegals immigrants and the problem will always be there.

Good, when I go up there in November maybe the jobs for legal workers will pay more and be safer now that employers have to do things the right way.
Green cards are worth the effort.

The raids aren't even maintenance given the number coming across the border and overstaying every day. It is smoke and mirrors.
