First Sony has to get money back from PS3. Then they'll get a bit more money and then even more. Sony expects PS3 to stay 7-10 years on the market. Look at PS2 - the games are still made for this great console. It's on the market for seven years. My guess - we'll see PS4 in 2015.

According to Sony they plan on a 7-10 year lifecycle for the PS3, as with the PS2, which has been around for 7 years now, and they're still selling. With that in mind it would seem as though you won't start seeing the Playstation 4 until sometime around 2012 or 2013.
Keep in mind the PS3 has only been out about a year now, and developers are just now starting to focus on it.

who says itll be called ps4? i mean, i know its just sony, but you have to give them at least a little credit to come up with a better name, i mean, i would hope so. then again, we're talking about a company thats leached off of the government educated people of this country by essentially creating the same games over and over and over again, and those people actually buy the same game they bought a year ago. (of course they throw in some slightly sharper graphics and a few new songs, and people think its a new game) thats basically all sony is

It would suprise me because i've got a PS3 and if you ask me, i think its a proto-type games console because of how slow it downloads and other things as well.
