Cable temples. Usually you can ask your optician if there are any available or that can be ordered. But a good optometrist should have them available. There are several manufacturers that make these one of the best selection of frames with these temples is Clearvision who makes Fisher Price. These temples are commonly used for toddlers but I have seen grown men want them so they are available in many sizes.

Elastic must NOT be used for infants, as they can grab the glasses, pull them from the face, and then let go...

Non-elastic ribbon with a velcro fastening is a better option for very small children.

We just put an elastic band around each arm of the frame and then around the back. Worked fine.
