We talk a lot and we are getting more comfortable with each other but i don't know if I just go ahead and kiss him out of the blue then if it will get that weird stage of awkwardness over with. Plus i don't want him stressing about when to make his move or if he thinks im ready or not.

Do the "Hitch" move... go 75% of the way then wait. He'll come along for the ride if he's into you and if he doesn't kiss you back he's either too nervous or he's not that into you and the "shy" thing isn't involved, it's something else altogether.
You can always use body language though, to get nonverbal signals across to him and if that doesn't work lightly touch on the issue verbally to him. If you're comfortable together then the first kiss will turn into many more, so doesn't matter who starts it off. Just don't jump his bones :)

it is always better for the boy to kiss because if you do it then he may feel liek you our the pants in the relatonship, ppl may say thats it may not matter cuz it just a kiss but, a kiss can mean alot especially if he is shy, let him do it when he is ready, trust me it will be worth it!

next time you see him greet him with a hug and kiss him on the cheek. see his reaction adn if he likes it do it everytime you guys see eachother adn once oyu guys get comfortable with that he'll find the right time to kiss you.

You chould use my favorite move. Hug him, then slowly move your face close to his and lightly kiss his jaw. If he doesn't make a move then, he doesn't WANT to kiss you.
