Lol, to be honest I think years from now, or when you're a parent you'll see why.
I'm 21, I started having sex at 15 (too much info, lol). My mom had her first child at 15 or 16. Luckily I'm kid-free, but you don't wanna picture your kid having sex. You aren't living on your own, and the last thing you want is your dad to catch you in the act!!! And its pathetic if you have to sneak around and have sex.
Plus, sex has its responsiblities. Pregnancy of course. And STD's...something young people hardly think about cause they just worry about getting knocked up.Then there's emotions, you have to worry about if you're being used for sex, if someone isn't satisfying you and vice versa. So I can understand, NOW as an adult (lol, adult) why they advice the young to wait.
Who's gonna babysit when you get knocked up? Or handle the bill for an abortion? Or tell you why it burns when you pee? Or console you when some guy blabs about what you did to him in bed?....

As parents, we want the best for our kids...I had the same situation with my children. I wanted them to make better decisions for themselves, that I had made for myself.
Give your father the grace and learn from his experience...God would also have you remain pure until marriage. Do you have a little brother or sister that you would advise against some of the things that you have done? It is a similar situation.
No one ever suffered from being faithful to the abstinence rules, but the blessings to you will be life long.
It is good that you love and respect your father..

First... I made the mistake you are contemplating. I dated the guy for 2 years, and was pressured the whole time. When I finally said yes it happened once and then he wouldn't talk to me except to say "How will I know you haven't been with anyone else?" He took something from me that I couldn't replace. My self respect. Even now, 30 years later, that incident makes me distrustful of men.
I hope your first sexual experience is a beautiful, loving memory, not a source of shame like mine and so many other women's. That is what your stepfather and mother want for you.
As rough as it is at your age, the truth is they want you to be a happy healthy adult, and give you limits, with that in mind, so you have a happy life with as few regrets as possible. They love you. Let them.

A common wish and fallacy of parents is to share hard gained wisdom from their own poor choices with the hope of saving their kids some suffering. It doesn't always work, but the parent's hope remains. I can see why this may seem hypocritical....but if you think it is hypocritical then why would you want to do the same things that a hypocrite has done?

Really? So you want to look for excuses to do what you know is wrong? What is wrong? Is he wrong in his advice; is the Word wrong in its advice? I know those who were committed and had saved themselves for marriage! It is a great sacrifice, but God does not look at the evil of this world on a condemning basis! He wants all of us to follow the Word. I will suggest to you, if a man, any man, wants to have only sex with you, they are not worthy of you. God says they are foolish. You allowing it, makes you foolish! I was not a virgin when I married! But that does not change what God says is right, does it? It does not make your Dad a hypocrite, but makes him a caring Father, who loves you, in spite of your accusing him of his distant past! God is the only one that is pure without the blood of Christ! 1 John 1:9. Do not judge your Father for his past. instead, listen to him for his repentance! You want the same life as he? No. You want what his advice from God can give you... Love you in Jesus name, God bless, Earl

How do you know they were having sex? I lived with my husband for two years before we got married and didn't have sex at all. You should listen to his words of wisdom. He's been around a lot longer than you have.

Tell him he needs to stop following the teachings of Jimmy Swaggart, the preacher who got on national TV and ranted and raved how it's immoral for a man to have sex with a woman without being married to her. And then he got busted for having sex with a prostitute.

Life is different at young and older ages. It may not sound fair to say, but it is true. You have your life ahead of you and he wants you to do the right things, but the right things for him at his age and station in life, are not the same as the right things at your age.
So no, he is not being hypocritical.

Well if he's anything like me, he is embarrased of the mistakes he made in the past and is just trying to help you avoid the same things.

according to threat it is because of the fact OJ replaced into in all threat a youth hero of his and he can not settle for the actuality that he's a assassin. Casey Anthony's purely some white bimbo mess who killed her daughter to social gathering confusing. i think of they are the two responsible for the record.
