I had a cat that did that. You would be sitting in the living room and all of a sudden hear this water splashing all over the place. It was funny, but the puddles, especially when you were not expecting it, were a nusiance. It was only one of our cats that did this. What we did was purchase a very large, heavy crockery bowl. The cat can't tip it over, that doesn't mean that he won't splash around in the bowl, but it did seem to aleviate the problem.

I have tried a few self-replenishing water bowls, but none worked for my 2 cats. They also liked to play with the water, and would frequently dump the bowl over. I bought 2 heavy ceramic bowls, and never had another problem..

you do no longer say adequate for us to renowned what the concern is as many stuff could reason cats to pee the place they must no longer. the 1st component is to have your cat neutered if he/she isn't already and the subsequent is to have a vet verify him/her over incase it relatively is a urinary tract an infection.it fairly is painful for a cat and that they are able to't help peeing plenty. yet another component that reasons it fairly is stress, have you ever a sparkling toddler or a sparkling animal on your place ? Has something in the homestead or maybe outdoors disillusioned your cat ? Has all people punished the cat by shouting, hitting, squirting water or the rest ? Cats do no longer understand punishment and it in straightforward terms makes them nerve-racking of you and the concern gets worse. If it fairly is any of those , then being calm and sort to the cat will help.Is the muddle tray saved sparkling ? Cats hate utilising grimy muddle, it fairly is like us going to the lavatory after somebody who hasn't flushed it. besides via fact the above, you ought to bathe each and every thing and everywhere your cat has peed, with organic and organic washing liquid in warm water, that eliminates each and every final hint of scent. If a cat smells even the slightest hint of pee, it has to maintain clean it. that must be your concern, if he/she did it by accident as quickly as and now has to maintain topping it up ! ultimately and that i'm hoping it fairly is not this, in the adventure that your cat is declawed, peeing outdoors the muddle field is between the end results of this cruel operation.Even years afterwards, the cats could have discomfort of their toe stumps as a claw ought to strengthen decrease back or a splinter of bone pass...in the adventure that your cat is declawed you ought to get his/her paws thoroughly checked by a vet. Sorry, with out further information i'm no longer able to signify the rest, i'm hoping some thing i've got stated facilitates you to renowned what your cats concern is and you will placed it awesome.

i'm thinking you could keep the same water dish, just put less water in the dispenser. and just refill it daily. the less water that's in there the less puddles you'll get.
you could also try putting a mat under the whole shabang. so the water'll accumulate on the mat.
but honestly, i'd say try a reg. bowl. if its the bubbles yer kitty likes playing with, my guess is it won't be as fun just dabbing in water.

Another option -
Get a super absorbent chamois to put under the water dispenser. The heavy ceramic bowl option is a good alternative as well.

The best fix is to get one of those dog non-spill bowls and only fill it half full.
Some cats just like playing in water.

I had pretty much the same problem except he also put his mousy toys into the bowl to sop up the water. It made a huge mess.
I went to the crafts store and bought a bunch of those big glass "stones" that they sell for mosaics. I got the size like the end of your thumb. It really ruined his fun. (its a trick I remember hearing that turkey farmers use to keep their birds from drowning themselves)

Another option is to put a mat or carpet under the water bowl so it absorbs the water he knocks out. I have a small doormat under my cat's food and water bowl and that works out well.

My male cat did the same thing and I bought a good bowl that was too big and heavy that he could not tip over. No more problems.

if you're not sure on how spell a fancy word, just don't use it. it doesn't make you seem smarter, it actually does the opposite. if your not willing to spend A LOT, just get him a smaller water bowl and buy little stickies or suctions so that it won't be as easy for him to tip it over. he may take a little out with his paw once in a while, but it won't be big puddles for you to step in. good luck and seems like a cute, little active kitten you have!
