It depends - if you're a straight woman, you might ask her where she works out and where she shops.
If you're a straight man, you might tell her she has lovely legs - leave the stockings/shoes out of it.
If you're a gay woman - ask her where she works out. Leave the stockings/shoes out of it.
If you're a gay man - ask her where she shops.

I had a man say that to me the other day. He reeked of beer and said, "nice legs love".
I found it quite embarrassing to be honest. If it was me I would just keep the thought to yourself.

I should keep that thought to yourself until you get to know that person better. Some people might take that as a compliment, others might feel uncomfortable with that.

Get sick of men and women looking at my legs, they are extrelely long and slender, even look good in flat shoes. So my answer is i always say thankyou to be polite and change the subject
